About Us

The Hepburn Regional Tourism Association (HRTA) was established in 2006 as an umbrella organisation to lead, represent and co-ordinate the interests of tourism operators in the Hepburn Shire including the townships of Daylesford, Hepburn Springs, Creswick, Clunes and Trentham.  Since then we have grown to a membership of over 140 regional tourism operators representing the richness that the Hepburn Region has to offer.

Our membership represents the many sectors involved in tourism: accommodation, food & hospitality(restaurants, wineries, producers), health & wellbeing, events, retail, tourism operators, events, and other organisations.

The HRTA is a voluntary organisation passionate and proud of the unique environment, history and culture of our Region.  By working closely with local tourism associations, Hepburn Shire Council, Daylesford Macedon Ranges Campaign Committee, other business groups and the community, the HRTA aims to develop and promote the region as a premium destination.

In order to achieve our goal of positioning Hepburn Shire as a truly exceptional and sustainable destination, HRTA has four strategic areas of focus:

  1. Industry Professionalism
  2. Product Development
  3. Marketing
  4. Commmunications

In addition to the above, HRTA plays a very important role with regards to industry advocacy and representation.

It is only through collaboration that we will develop the Hepburn Region into a truly great tourism destination which will benefit the community economically, socially and environmentally.
